The overall goal of HCOP is to increase the number of disadvantaged students in the health professions, to improve the healthcare delivery to underserved populations through better professional preparation, and to achieve cultural awareness for all health profession graduates.  To achieve this goal, HCOP offers the following programs:

• Health Careers Opportunity Program Academy will support 25 undergraduates training as they prepare for application to medical, dental, pharmacy, physical therapy, physician assistant, or other health care professions schools. Support will take the form of tutors, student and faculty mentors, financial aid advice, as well as case workers that will insure that they have every chance to realize their dreams.

• Skaggs School of Pharmacy Academic Bootcamp is a summer pre-matriculation program that summarizes the first year of pharmacy school for incoming pharmacy students (P1).
