Bonnie and Phil Hamilton MSW Scholarship

one or two awards totaling approximately $3,500 annually
successful applicants plan to work for the good of Native Americans on the reservation after his/her formal schooling is completed
scholarship renewable if student is making good academic progress as determined by the chair
scholarship advertised in fall for spring award (graduate students will receive application announcements and details during fall semester)
preference to Native students

two awards of $500.00 bi-annually (even years)
priority given to students with a gerontology focus or minor
preference given to students who are graduates of high schools in Missoula, Lake or Flathead counties
must have a 2.75 in all college level work
scholarship is renewable based on conditions
award will be advertised mid-late February every applicable year (see School of Social Work main office for announcement and application details)

multiple awards of $15,000 annually
must complete a practicum with Child and Family Services Division
must be willing to work for CFSD anywhere in Montana upon graduation for a time of two years for every year the scholarship is received (2:1)
must have one year of experience with CFSD or be a MSW student entering the second year of practicum
overall grade point average of 3.0
strong commitment to working with vulnerable children and families

multiple annual awards (in 2008 50% of MSW students received amounts that range between $1,000 and $3,000)
students become eligible by completing a FASFA form through UM’s Office of Financial Aid
scholarships are distributed in the fall semester and amounts vary each year

one or two awards totaling approximately $1,800 annually
priority given to students who demonstrate financial need and who are pursuing their degree while raising a family
scholarship advertised in spring for fall award (graduate students will receive application announcements during spring semester)
