Vision
The Vision of The University of Montana Nora Staael Evert Clinic (UM Sports and Orthopedic Clinic) is to be the first choice for university students, staff and faculty seeking physical therapy outpatient services.
As an integral part of the School of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Science, the vision of the clinic is also to provide a setting for educational and scholarly opportunities.
History
Nora Staael Evert, a pioneer of physical therapy in the 1950´s, originally studied dance in NYC. Instrumental in starting the UM PT Clinic in 1967, she was known for her positeve energy, strength, creativity and originality. Her spirit carries on as the staff of the UM PT Clinic strives to provide high quality and innovative care for every kind of movement dysfunction.
Students
The UM Sports and Orthopedic Clinic provides an active, stimulating environment appropriate to the learning needs of the physical therapy students.
