Giving Opportunities

The School of Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation Science relies on the support and dedication of alumni and friends who share in our commitment to excellence. Donating to the program allows future physical therapy professionals to meet their dreams in an enriched environment. Your generous contributions, no matter the amount, make an enormous difference to the program, and to our students. Gifts to the Physical Therapy Program have funded:

  • Student scholarships
  • Presentations by national experts to the students, faculty, and clinical community
  • Student attendance at professional meetings, for example The National Student Conclave and Combined Sections Meeting. Each year, a large contingent of our third year students attend CSM and a number are able to present their peer-reviewed research.
  • Purchases of new equipment, supplies and other needed educational materials for the Physical Therapy Program

Giving opportunities include:

Unrestricted Gifts – The most flexible of gifts, these funds are utilized by the Chair of the School, Reed Humphrey, to enrich the quality of the Physical Therapy program and the student's educational experience.

Scholarships - These provide much more than mere funding. They also provide motivation, acknowledgement of achievement, and they reinforce the value of education. They may be given on a variety of bases including merit, economic need, service or professional potential according to donor wishes. The current minimum level to endow a named scholarship is $25,000, or a named scholarship may be funded annually at a minimum of $1,000.  Scholarship support under $1,000 is also extremely appreciated and appropriately recognized.
