ICS 200 – A Practical Approach to Infectious Disease Outbreak Management

This course has been designed as a 16-hour session, to be delivered using a two day training format, and a variety of contemporary case studies and scenarios to help prepare health professionals for establishing and working within an ICS structure specific to managing infectious disease outbreaks. The course includes a total of eight instructional units and a primer on pandemic flu. The instructional units will be delivered in succession as each unit builds upon information presented and lessons learned from the prior unit. This course reinforces the benefits of adapting a local emergency preparedness and response plan to include managing infectious disease outbreaks.
