Essay Suggestions
The following are guidelines and suggestions from the Admissions Committee for the Pharm.D. application essays.
The Admissions Committee expects:
- the essays to attend to basic mechanics, grammar and spelling.
- the essays to address the questions.
Good essays:
- have a coherent message, a positive tone, and don't overstate.
- draw from personal experience.
- express what becoming a pharmacist will mean to the applicant.
- paint a picture/tell a story (illustrate the applicant's character and interests).
