“Looking Under the Hood of the Brain Machine ”

Instructor: Celeste Bolin, Ph.D. Candidate, The University of Montana, CHPBS
Ever wondered how just one organ, the brain, can be capable of so many complex tasks? Using sheep brains as a hands-on tool, we will dissect and locate the various parts of the brain responsible for such functions such as learning and memory, circadian rhythms, movement coordination, higher-order cognition, and emotion.

9th Grade:

"CSI Missoula"

Instructor: Gary Kerr, UM Anthropology Department

Scents and “Sense – Ability”

Instructor: Valerie A. Mosser PhD., Center of Structural and Functional Neuroscience, University of Montana
Come and learn how you learn - not to mention see, smell, feel, and taste. This course will include laboratory activities and demonstrations examining sensation and learning.
