Welcome to The University of Montana Mass Spectrometry and Proteomics Facility (MSPF) web site.

Our laboratory exists to serve the needs of faculty, staff and students conducting research in the area of mass spectrometry and proteomics. Our goal is to provide molecular weight analysis, structure identification and proteomics to researchers at The University of Montana and beyond with expertise, resources, and state-of-the-art instrumentation. The MSPF, with support and funding from the Murdock Charitable Trust, National Science Foundation, National Institutes of Health (COBRE) and The University of Montana provides project assistance with particular emphasis in neuroscience and toxicology. A special focus of the MSPF is neuroprotein identification and the determination of biomarkers.

Through a combination of instructive and collaborative engagement, we strive to assist researchers less familiar with mass spectrometry techniques and methods. We invite you to learn about our core facility and the services we offer through this website. Use the links on the left to navigate through our facility and personnel information, and contact us with questions.
